Oh trust me my man i know. If I had to drive home daily I will probably do something else.
I dont know a lot about how freightline companies work, but I would want to stay out at least a week, if not longer. People like going home daily but all id do is sleep then right back to work again. I'm not about that life.
Saia drivers supposed to avg around 80-90k.
So far have not had to back out of any place... But my partners have and it sucks! Doing it with doubles.. Ahhh man. Lol. I tell them to read their signs, but... You know. -
Yeah "take home" or "net" means what gets put in your bank. Gross means your pay before e everything gets taken out. Thats the figure I focus on because deductions vary from one person to the next.ruckusftlc Thanks this.

Hate to say it but it does depend. I make about high 60s into 70s delivering milk home every morning, but it wasn’t my first job. I got my start at Pepsi and then Sysco. Food service guys make bank if you don’t mind the work. Going OTR and being new the best thing I can say is find a good company, and stick with it. Don’t jump from OTR to OTR company just cause you heard through the grapevine such and such is making a few cents more than you. Work hard, don’t complain if you don’t need to, and be reliable. Let the money come to you.

I know line haul is decent cash, especially a union gig.
After 3 attempts in my career, in the 70s with CF then in the 90s w UPS and finally for 3 whole months in 2009 with Conway I figured line haul wasn't for me.
I tried to make it work but it's a special mind and skillset to run the same route every day and if you can enjoy that it's a great gig, w a life outside of the jobUpinsmoke Thanks this. -
They might but the miles probably won’t be there.Upinsmoke Thanks this.
