As a company driver, you'll be required to team - with someone you don't know, unless you have a wife, girlfriend, brother or bestest buddy in your back pocket... who is also hired.
My wife and I went to work there in Feb 09. We rolled 109,000 miles in 6 months, and our NET PAY came out to 18 cents a mile.... SHARED.
That's $3,270 a month, for both of us. We made about $300-325 a week, each... and that's averaging 4,192 miles per week.
Do the math, and the math is ugly.
How much can I make with CRE?

yep, pretty much every person who ever worked for crengland has about the exact same things to say about them. Every employee a company has and has ever had all saying almost the same thing cant be wrong.
Pretty bad, as messed as swifts reputation is, they have only a small fraction of drivers saying smack about them as crengland does, and they have what, two, three, four times the amount of trucks as crengland? That alone is a huge statement.scottied67 Thanks this. -
I would probally rather drive for Swift before i go there... Ive heard bad about all..
scottied67 Thanks this. -

There is the few and far between like my husband and I that really cant be hating on CRE. Here is the deal in a nutshell. If you want to make money at CRE it is there to be made, you just have to work hard enough to get it. My family is living proof.papi27j, venne and scottied67 Thank this.

I may not be a genius and I certainly have no knowledge of how the trucking industry works, however, my question is if you are a company driver and never take any advances, how can you not have a positive flow of income with any company including CRE so long as the truck is actually on the road and not sitting for repairs regularly?
I was considering doing the whole sponsorship thing and going with a company who would finance my training but 90% of the reviews on every company are negative although proving to sound more like bitter employees rather than real reasons or actual information that I can use (i.e. every former minimum wage employee I have ever met tells me how the company they worked for was the worst from Burger King to Walmart). With that being said, as a newbie looking for financial help to even pay for the schooling, can a person make a reasonable amount of income as a company driver with ANY company but more specifically, CRE? -
I think it is funny that when I drove in 03 I was making 41 cpm and they said I can make 42,000 a year. Now they are paying 26 cpm and I can make that same 42,000. lol
Yodler Thanks this. -
One thing I have not noticed talked about is delivery of there freight. With all the wrecked trucks, lease turn in etc, does there freight ever arrive on time?

Hello,
At this point in my life, I had expected to have a secure life, but oh well!!
However it hasn't worked out that way. I am stuck in a rut where i am, living off a family member, with VERY little income monthly at this point, and am considering cr england to help me out. I can't get financing to go to one of the "real schools", so that is out, and am hoping for somethinkg positive from this.
You sound like you have a positive thing to say, and was wondering if you would possibly expand on your experiences.
