I do mostly drop/ hook so I’m out Knick . Live loads could be 30 mins to who knows. Depends on the customer most try to be less than the 2 hr window. Flexirel are a Nono best to get them out of your system before your first drug test.if u can pay for your schooling your self there are government grants out there. The mega training has a lot of loopholes that most don’t look at
Yes but alot of times it is out of ur control , which is why its the frustrating part. Usually its because ur in a bad freight area and theres no freight. Maybe the truck breaks down so ur sittin waitin for it to get fixed. Maybe u get stuck in a storm and interstate is closed. U willing to run in those conditions around the interstate ? I had a 600 mile detour thru wyoming this past winter because i80 was closed. Us highways was open so i ran thru alot of snow and ice to get around it. Load was late 1 day but interstate was closed that entire week so i made the right decision. But it was not fun running thru that crap. Those are the decisions u are gonna be faced with out here and starting out those decisions are gonna be made by ur company, which eventually u will find is limiting. Atleast in my experience. Trucking is a game of problem solving. The best problem solvers make the most money.
Hahahaha, no. maybe Uber Black pays $4000 a week, I am sure not consistently. Uber is a joke. They fire you over a false report.
Trucking pays the same no matter where you live in, right? In that case, I better leave DC area and live in a cheap place and save money.
Pays the same unless you're a local driver in some heavily union cities. Come on out to Las Vegas; you'll love living here with the nice weather and palm trees year round. Donate your heavy winter coats to Salvation Army; you won't need them here. No state income taxes and no food taxes at the grocery store.
Many OTR companies hire all over the USA, so you probably can change your location to another state & city without having to change trucking companies.
