Just looking at some numbers for the year. Our O/Os pulling dry van are $1.7783 TT (trucking software miles not hub) and flats are $1.8933 (flats started VERY weak this year).

If no one does anything any different next year we would expect to see $.10/mile TT increase.

my avg cpm for 2012 was .91. my avg rpm was 1.48 . leased on to carrier. Then there is pretty good stop off and detention compensation on top of that. By the house once or twice a week, home every weekend and holiday and take at least two weeks off a year. I am lazy. I bust my butt at home working and don't want to work at trucking. Dry box, no touch, and majority of drop and hook. Works for me.

Leased to a carrier pulling my own reefer I averaged $2.31 for all miles. Would of been higher, but I bounced from NJ, NY, and PA back home or to Wisconsin about 9 times this year due to cheap freight or time restraints. Still I am more than happy with the number.

Leased to a carrier ( L/P deal ) and pull his iron. Local / regional only and number is after fuel and deducts but before taxes AND includes all accessorial charges like scales, placards, pumps, hourly demurrage etc. which represents 20% of my business.

$3.1675 net or you can take 20% off that for straight mileage ( $2.53 ) with FSC in. ( only profit is FSC )

Leased to a carrier pulling my dry van. After their cut off the top $2.19 a mile on 76,006 odometer miles to the truck. 24% of those miles deadhead. 1 contract load - 160+ brokered loads from loadboard land.

ya rolling coal loves to toss out his number but you have to realize he runs very short loads to keep his rate per mile that high. which for a van is a good deal. pulling a flat thats too much work for me loading straping or chaining and tarping for a 150mi load to undue it all. need a happy medium
