How much do container haulers make? Would like real numbers.

Not sure on the gross to be honest. Being paid on percentage of truck gross and my boss plays with the numbers to help him and I both pay less taxes lol. Doesn't provide any benefits however, small 4 truck fleet. It's an easy job too. Find it much less stressful than otr dry van for sure.

How do you play with the numbers to pay less taxes on a W-2 job? Per Diem rates are set so that can't be increased to lower the adjusted gross. The boss paying part in cash under the table doesn't lower his taxable deductions.

 

And how do people not know what they gross on a paycheck. Do they not look at their paystub? Kind of odd to brag about how much they make, while actually not knowing how much they make.

 

The pay stubs have a lower gross amount than my hand written net pay cheque.

Kind of odd when someone says I'm bragging(which would mean you would have to believe it to be considered bragging), but yet you question me. I smell jealousy.
