It depends where you live. I made $14/hr in TN over 10 years ago. I know some guys that work for $10/hr.

Where you live it should be in the high 20's. Either that or get 5 roommates, lol.

Depends how many axles, what your hauling, who your hauling it for,and the area you are working. Most for 5 axle combo pays a percent. Most decent owners will pay you 25 % of the gross load.

Used to be real good in DFW area. But starting about 15 yrs ago the criminal illegals got into it and now they just undercut each other everyday to pay yesterdays bills. DPS sets up inspection stops at various places nearly every day. They know they will always be able to put at least 20-50 a day out of service. Use old OTR trucks with sleeper still on. LOL Not hard to spot.

This is EXACTLY why I'm going back OTR.. you are so right, not to mention us sales/terminal people got to work day and night just to get the trucks a decent rate..Cut throat part to get into.I sold my truck when it started to get real bad. I still say I made a good move.I'm just South of DFW.
