how much do owner ops make an average week

    I just wanted to thank you.
    I used this argument to talk my son out of a new bicycle.

    "what if the chain falls off, do you have a plan for that"
    "what if you get a flat tire, do you have a plan for that"
    "what if you wreck and I'm not around"

    4yr olds are stupid :)

    My understanding, from what you saying is that basically a truck "makes" the same money as a driver does.Do I got it right?

    Kind of. Depending on what you're paying a driver, at the end of the month, you should be left over with about $2,000. A driver can make or break you. Get a good driver,v you'll make money. Get a bad driver, you'll lose money.

    There's a guy on here I don't know his screen name, but his real name is Scott. He mentions the 50-50-50 rule. $.50 driver - $.50 truck/ fuel - $.50 operation
    So that's a $1.50 cost of operation.

    Hmmm,seems like it's time for me to either buy me a truck or quit because I don't think it's a fair deal when a POS $50k truck "makes" the same money as driver does.
