Kinda curious, why would you waste around $7k on a tripak for a comapny truck? Let your company buy one (eventually they will) and have it installed. And if you haven't seen company trucks with tripaks, then maybe you need to look a little harder: WalMart, Covenant (some), MPH, Krielkamp,Smith trucking (rigmasters); there's lots out there, and more are being added everyday.
As for the sat issue, all you need is a pvc tube that you zip-tie or hose clamp to your right hand (or left hand) mirror bracket( you can even put it on the back-of-cab), and slip your dish (on a metal pole, that you can purchase at t/s) into the pipe. Yes, you still pay for your subscription, but you can have the programs you want. If you want in-motion satellite tv, you need to own your truck, cause the pancake antenna needs to be mounted on the truck (pref on the roof) and it costs a pretty penny (around $2k if I remember right).

Been back OTR for two weeks, I haven't talked to my dispatcher on the phone once. And thats the way I like it. It makes your life alot easier with all the info you need to digest.
