How Much Do You Make?

unit cost 600 something for a year supply. I installed my self. I run oil that cost 22 dollars a gallon. you do the math. I have fleet air filters so i just wash them. In my second year it will cost like 250 for all my service plus oil for one change.

 

A little clarification for the sake of "accuracy" then...
Empty vs loaded, to me, is the difference between over 8mpg, and mid 4mpg. Considerable in my non sound business mind. So yeah, a major difference in my net I would say.
I have been here for years, not months. It's easy to make some good money in the first few months with a company. In fact, one of our newer contractors worked it out that he would gross way over $300k in his first year, if things stayed the way they were at first. Only thing is, reality hits and it never happens that way. This will be learned when a few years experience follow all that theory.
Like I said, show me some proof after you have a whole year at it, then I will very publicly apologize if I am wrong. But as more and more keep saying...something doesn't add up, no matter how many paragraphs you use.

When is tmc going to make you paint that 20k truck....? I've heard they don't like faded paint on the cabs or rotted paint on the frames.

Wait till you get the estimate for the paint job.......

 

I'm not real sure why I'm chiming in..but here goes:

I can promise/guarantee/swear, that IF what richer is pulling is honest, IT is not the norm, maybe hes just a lucky ole boy that fell into a gravy train.....if some poor driver reads this and think the hes going go out and buy a 25k truck and bang out that kind of money they are in for a hard internet fishing lesson. Im still paying for our first 30k truck that threw the rod out the block.

so to all who read this:
leftlane numbers are better than mine, but one things the same, we are working hard for those numbers. don t be fooled by the internet, where there's no accountability for honesty.

Most of the guys on here that spew the b.s. will keep going until it comes time to post any proof. As soon as they are really called out they ignore the thread like it doesn't exist. Or....they will say they don't have to prove anything to anyone. Typical

 

How right you are but I'll show my numbers.....can't say there anything to look at as I didn't work in January and I haven't done anything for my biggest customer because of my step being in the shop so this is what I did feb/March two months but next month I'll be back at it!

 

It will be interesting to see one of following: Proof is posted, ignore thread, or the ill take my toys and go home because I don't have to prove anything to you bullies.

Anyone care to place a friendly non monetary wager? I'm guessing betting is illegal on the site.

 

An "imaginary" $20 bet for me.....for nothing turning up.
