When I started with Schneider in '94 I was paid $500 for 2 weeks while I was at home. Then $600 while I was with a trainer for 2 weeks. Then $700 while I was out with another newbie for 2 weeks. After i was cut loose on my own on the 7th week I was making over $800 a week.

Go head, spill it. What are the companies?
Chinatown Thanks this. -
The best pay is flatbed or tanker. Hazmat/tanker drivers make $60K + and some much more. Schneider and Prime Inc. hire new drivers for tanker. Several other chemical & fuel companies also hire new drivers, but don't advertise it and their websites won't indicate it. I worked for a tanker/hazmat company that advertised new hires must have 3 years tanker experience, but they hired 2 new CDL school graduates while I was there. Apply, apply, apply!
