I went and talked to them one time in Portland. I don't think they were quite at $20 starting. Didn't like the vibe I got from the place.

okiedokie and Giuseppe Ventolucci Thank this.

Right now yes. Top pay right now is $22. I'm just waiting to see if by years end the Union gets us more money like they keep saying

I actually worked for Peninsula in Portland for about a year. Really good guys there. Non-Union terminal but they give the same benefits and OT after 8. Drivers just drive...no dock work. I actually lived in an apartment complex right on the Willamette river and would walk to and from work during warm weather. It was a pretty fun deal.

To the best of my knowledge, Oak Harbor Freight is non-union, but it seems to be a good company to work for, from what I have heard about them. Their equipment looks good and not very old too.

Never worked for a company that had a video for slinging iron. Sure have had lots of newbies watching me chain up in the snow, however. Lots easier to drop the trailer legs and pull the rig out to sling chains on the drives. You dont want that fifth-wheel grease all over your clothes, that's for sure.

They're teamster but last I'd heard they were working without a contract. They actually went on strike I want to say maybe 5-6 years ago. Might have resolved that by now.

I also worked for Pennsuila years ago. It was ok. Too much drama and the Terminal manager was a twit. Probably not the best way to chain up drivers and extra work. Expecially if your on pack snow.
