How much does wheelbase length affect maneuverability, really?

    Look up Hendrickson air over walking beam suspension. I believe they call it the AR2.

    What's tthe benefit of that system vs any other airride system in a situation like backing a trailer up to a dock/ tight quarters maneuverability? Other than the wheels always being on the ground if the surface is somewhat uneven-

    I drive a FL Cascadia sleeper and only 53 foot dry vans and I run with my 5th wheel all the way back because of a few clients that routinely load heavy in the front of the trailer and my steers were always overweight. It makes for some creative backing/turning but I somehow manage to get it done.
