So, driving for my dad I hauled hay on a flatbed trailer and hauled sheep in a bull wagon. That's been the last year and a half. Hauling the hay, it was twenty+ trips that were 3-4 hours, maybe five including loading time, and with the bull wagon it was around the same amount. A couple trips were all day or almost all day, but most were four hours or less. I don't really know if this would really count for the experience that a lot of companies are looking for, it's never really truly been daily. It's been more on a as needed basis, I've had months where I didn't drive at all, and then had months where it's been 1-6 days a week. I'm not really sure how to count it, and as such I don't know what to say to the question of how much experience I have driving.
how much driving experience

You might not have the miles but you've the experience. I pulled both of those commodities. You'll do fine. Good luck driver.
Wargames, Flying Wolf and nextgentrucker Thank this. -
I'd count all the time since you started driving with a cdl or when you were issued a cdl.

Don't nit pick it. You have 1.50 years of experience. You will need a start date and a end date if there is one.
Flying Wolf, Concorde and Chinatown Thank this. -
thanks for the responses y'all.

so, the driving companies sadly don't see it this way, as far as they are concerned, because there is no documentation I have no experience. I have no paperwork showing what I was hauling or showing a delivery. I talked to multiple companies about it, and they all said they couldn't count any of my driving experience because it was unverified.

no, we just don't know what paperwork we need. the Idea was that I would be driving for him until he retires and then I would let the license go, but the job I was working towards with my college won't pan out due to how little time I have left. I'm still a couple years from my completing my current degree that would then lead into the degree I need to complete to qualify for that job. when I first started working towards my degree I need for the job, I was told I had ten years which would have given me enough time to complete the degree that I need for the job. but as of last year, it was changed to five years, which isn't enough time, I'm barely going to be able to complete the first degree, and I insist on completing it because I have put a lot of time and energy into what I've already done, and don't want to let that go to waste.
He is more than happy to help me document it, we just never planned on needing to, so we don't know how. and I have tried searching the internet for it, but can't find it. -
They will send him a form via email or other method. He will then have to fill out the dates an area that you ran. They will ask about ticket and accidents. He signs it and returns it.
Breathe it will be ok.
