I actually agree with roadmedic on this one.it is MY experience that being behind on logs is not the issue,it is the change of duty status that would get me ticketed/warned.I have had logs that have not been touched since i started them early in the morning, always w/pti,and hours later,12 hours, and just told to have a good day. i realize it is the officer for the most part and the times i was placed OOS or ticketed,i had not flagged my last change of duty.
How much is a ticket for incomplete/missing logs??? Please read!

Behind 12 hours at the Mt Shasta, CA scale, told to catch it up and let go. No ticket.
Behind 8 hours at the Redding, CA scale, told to catch it up and just go. No ticket.
Behind 8 hours at the Banning, CA scale, told to catch it up and got a warning.
St Croix, MN scale, page wasn't signed at the beginning of the day he said it MUST be. Whatever. Warning issued.
And that's it folks, in 27 years. Sure doesn't mean I was legal all those years either.
These were back in the good old days when trucking was still a decent occupation and The DoT Man wasn't as big of a ####.bigkev1115 and mrbmg Thank this. -

Does anyone know how much a fine is for not having your loads? No other citations. Any ball park estimates?

IIRC in ontario it's a 390 dollar fine for improper log books. Usually if you show your pti for the day and current to your last duty change they wouldn't harass you. They used to nail guys that never showed the border crossing as a duty change.
