A friend of mine found that out this year. Been pulled over for 3 Level 3 inspections. The officer noted on each one, that speeding is the reason. No ticket issued, just the warning on the inspections. Got reprimanded at the company and told that he is on probation.
The amazing thing is that he had no idea or heard of the CSA points. -
I have never been ticketed but had many close calls in SD. Thing that saved my ### every time has been the fact I hand them my printed out Eclipse logs from the rest of the week and if they ask I offer to print out today's log but they never take me up on the offer.

Got stopped in Maine a few years back, previous state toll tickets didn`t match my log and I wound up with a ticket for "false record of duty status". Was a two-part ticket, driving AND misdemeanor criminal. $300 tow, $900 fine and a misdemeanor criminal conviction. Company reimbursed for the tow and ticket since I was doing them a favor. Local South Portland lawyer wanted over a thousand to represent me so I just took the misdemeanor. Found out later that the company was flagged for extra scrutiny previous to my trip. Too cold up there anyway.

There's an oxymoron...like Mexican Pizza or Irish Soufle...
