how much is enough?

Some of you stated against the thinking you should blindly chase after companies who make pie in sky promises you will get a million miles each week.

One of you hit it perfect. Piss on the miles. Get the most rate per mile you can so that it does not matter how many miles you get in bad weeks.

I introduce another thought. Immigrants coming here are being paid what we thought was top pay 30 years ago because these immigrants don't know nothing about America and our Trucking Culture/History when looked at in terms of driver wages per mile.

Also the Companies are more than happy to exploit the immigrant by hiring three, manning three trucks at .20 a mile rather than one of me at .60 a mile to one truck.

 

Have a stupid questions. Do you have to be a legal citizen to get Your class A?

 

####. I can remember a few of those 0.00 paychecks and even few negative checks too back when I started out. That was 18 years ago. Now I run LTL Linehaul and make over $90k a year. There's money to be made if you keep your record clean and look for the opportunities.

 

No.And btw there's no such thing as "LEGAL CITIZEN".You either a citizen or not,there are no legal and illegal citizens.

Im trying really hard to be good and not get difficult with citizenship here.

I hope after the elections are finished whoever gets the white house will clean up this mess before it gets too mucky to clean up and we turn into Europe.

You still have to be legally here, not a citizen but a resident in did. Have to get a CDL and go thru everything the citizens do. Not sure where the 20cpm comes from, some immigrants earn more than some think they do. Guess it's an easy target to aim for, some people just need an enemy, if there's none lets create one. And yeah, let's say that the bad in trucking is all immigrants fault, they don't mind.
