Thank you, I just wonder therefore how they let such accusations that I saw go unchallenged, legally. I'll read and watch with different eyes in future then.

There's nothing wrong with Swift. They catch a lot of grief, but honestly, they're as good as any starter company. And I think you can do a lot better than $400 a week.
Good luckCatesCube and bryan21384 Thank this. -
If you're going OTR, you'll make more money with reefers.
Sure, dry van is much easier, but you won't make as much money per year. -
bryan21384 and Opus Thank this.

Reefer....
Inconsistent delivery/pickup times + resulting inconsistent/nonexistent sleep + abusive treatment from shippers/receivers/lumpers = better pay
Reefer is probably a great gig for military combat veterans who are still adrenalin junkies (or similar).
CDL endorsements are easy to get. Get them -- then go tanker or maybe LTL.
Those are much better gigs.
Especially if you enjoy your sleep.

Reefer is not for the lazy. I stuck with it for the money and long runs and loved the challenge.
With a wife and 4 children at home, wouldn't take the easy way.Last edited: Apr 13, 2024

US Express has lots of dry van jobs for New Jersey drivers, but again, need 3 mos. experience.
