Thank you, I just wonder therefore how they let such accusations that I saw go unchallenged, legally. I'll read and watch with different eyes in future then.

Why reefer? Swift has reefer, I’ve been dry van since I started and I like it. Easy docks, easy DCs for a rookie like me. Why do you suggest reefer?

Make them? He's applying to them. They aren't applying to him.

There's nothing wrong with Swift. They catch a lot of grief, but honestly, they're as good as any starter company. And I think you can do a lot better than $400 a week.
    Good luck

    CatesCube and bryan21384 Thank this.

Are you going with Swift reefer?
If you're going OTR, you'll make more money with reefers.
Sure, dry van is much easier, but you won't make as much money per year.

Swift is ok. Don't give much credence to opinions on YouTube or most driver reviews.

    bryan21384 and Opus Thank this.

    Reefer....

Inconsistent delivery/pickup times + resulting inconsistent/nonexistent sleep + abusive treatment from shippers/receivers/lumpers = better pay

Reefer is probably a great gig for military combat veterans who are still adrenalin junkies (or similar).

CDL endorsements are easy to get. Get them -- then go tanker or maybe LTL.

    Those are much better gigs.

Especially if you enjoy your sleep.

Yaaaa....I did reefers for 18 years and no regrets.
Reefer is not for the lazy. I stuck with it for the money and long runs and loved the challenge.
With a wife and 4 children at home, wouldn't take the easy way.

US Express has lots of dry van jobs for New Jersey drivers, but again, need 3 mos. experience.
