Are you still making money with the truck? Are you getting stranded in the road? Do you still like driving the truck or are you looking for an excuse to get a new horse. The repairs that you listed need to be done don't add up to 20 plus grand in my eyes. Your decision though.

    I’m with you.....
I’ve done; crate engine, 2x trans and clutch, 2 complete sets of tires, 5th wheel, HVAC, seat, steering wheel, entertainment system, home made APU, headache rack and chrome and all services for under $40k over the last 300k miles.

Even if you started over from scratch, an emissions system shouldn’t cost you $12k total?

$5k if you hit a bump and it all fell off?

I don’t understand $50k in repairs? Granted my truck is still only worth $15k but it’s made over $600k in that time.

I dont own my truck for it’s resale value.

No, an ISX ReCon ($22,500.00), 2 10 speeds ($2900.00 each). All factory remans. Only 1 new Eaton easy pedal clutch ($550)

I screwed the pooch on the first transmission, my fault there was no warranty.

I can break the whole thing down to the penny if you’d like?

Nothing, I guess you got it all figured out then?

I was just pointing out that you got lots of money wrapped up in a truck that still needs a lot of “self proclaimed”repairs.

You should probably go with a new truck is my vote.

    Maybe you’ll get lucky?

Why are you changing the main bearings? If you're not inframing the motor you're just throwing your money away. Metallurgy of even 2007 has advanced well beyond the days in the 70's and 80's. Rods and mains are not a routine maintenance requiring periodic replacement like they were in the old days.
