Some companies pray on fresh meat to lease... But ya I agree sounds real iffy... Lots of OTR drivers with years under the belt don't make this money.... I didn't watch the you tube video yet...

Wow, Love the ney sayers. Just a fyi, Why working for Knight before I went lease with them I was bring home 1200-1400$ with Knight. It is possible and depending how your dispatcher runs you and how the loads are its possible.

Knights starting pay is .38 @ 3k Miles (Which is easily archived with a decent DM) is a little over 1100 and that's beginner pay. If you add in the Bonus you can get another .05 on top of that, also not factoring in Xpay, Drops and Detention.

Then CHANGE company's, frankly if you aint bring home at least a grand a week its not worth being on the road, unless your just board or work for CR England. I just left Knight for another company who Pay's more then what I was making there. Its not hard you just have to find a good company.

Bringing home those numbers I wouldn't even consider a lease for what? $1200-1400 a week after expenses I would stay put as a company driver

As a lease with Knight I was bring home after expenses between $1800-2200 per week with tax's out 1600-1850ish. It can be done you have to understand what your doing and how to run a business. I have the benefit of my grandpa being a trucker and growing up with him and at 15 he started teaching me what he was doing. I learned alot from him and most of all was taught how to control expenses and maximize the use of the truck.

That's great money, why did you leave if making so much?

I wasn't getting on him but considering the numbers you see posted on here for rookies, with someone like the op with 4 months in posting those numbers is hard to believe... He is on pace to make 80k pretty unheard of for someone with his experience... You wouldn't agree with that?
