    Being at least slightly mechanically inclined can always help no matter what you are driving. Could save your self some time and/or money. Learn as you go, when you take it to the shop if your stuck there anyways offer to hang around and help out or at least watch. Never hurts to learn how to fix something. I learned how to work on cars and computers that way.
