If I work all month. .
$20,000 after direct road expenses - fuel tolls tires oil chances.

Take out of that all insurance, licencing, equip payments, out of the ordinary repairs. And at the end of the year. Rest is mine.

Today the United States. Tomorrow the World. Then buy Amazon, Google, etc. And advance overseas and buy China. I want it alllll. muhahahah.

    teasing.

I believe if you profited a small percentage over your costs and make good living as in thriving and raising a family etc you are doing good.

There was a time I dreamed of making one truck into 1000, then 10K then then then. The delusions of youth has been swept away by the cold of aging.

I would like to see 3.00 to the truck loaded for the month. So.. if a team ran medicines all the time, the money should take care of itself.

An O/O must make enough to support their business and their family, in addition to putting enough away to continue your lifestyle after retirement. If you don't know how to calculate that amount and have a solid plan to achieve those goals before you start your own business, you shouldn't be an O/O, or in any kind of business you run yourself. Making business plans on a best case scenario is rarely the path to success.

Just a mere company driver, reading 18 pages so my eyes could go crossed hoping to find out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop!.... and in the end

Watching the ending of WAR GAMES with Mathew Broderick came to mind.....

feel like all o/o wont give you a Net each year after their taxes and many will forget to mention the money they paid for the truck itself (not just how much for the repairs). we are team drivers and feel like going with o/o probably wont be making more than just be team company drivers but we are still looking for more advice. beside all the cool customs (wheel spikes lol) to the truck to let people you are an O/O, definitely need to get more info from everyone here

You did say how much an o/o SHOULD make. I’m all for setting a new benchmark.I”ll say $3000 after all costs!!!While we’re at it all Company Drivers at least $1800 take home.Thats about what the job is really worth and I’m serious about that!!! Back to reality. There are so many variables like who pays for what on a lease agreement ins costs etc.I myself try to keep track of the best paid Drivers at the best Company’s and if I’m not making at least as much or more including benefits then it’s hard to justify owning a truck. From what I’ve seen the deeper you get ie own trailer own authority the more you make. The whole idea is to make revenue, just depends on how much responsibility (also known as headache) your willing to take on.
