depends on exactly how many flying J hot dogs you plan to eat a week.
$90 to $100 an hour for all on duty time.
Time is the value to me
How much should an O/O make?

LS can't do that and get you home every night. 4500-5500 a week gross home nightly and weekends off is pretty tits -
Cats get litter all over your truck got your panties in a wad -
Your still paying the note on your truck right? Someone like my dad with no payment and running solid old iron 5000 wk home every night is THE bench mark

Doesn't matter to me. I just want a benchmark that if you're under that figure, per the esteemed TTR forum, you are not a real O/O.
Just want a number everyone can agree on. Truck, wagon, freight, hours behind the wheel, how you load/ unload, time out on the road is totally irrelevant. -

Dave_in_AZ,
I would like to see if there's a way we could organize this to see if we could get a few different answers. I think that the question being so broad may be the reason for having answers that are so broad in range.
I would suggest that the numbers be put forth and broken down by:
*Gross per truck per year/week/month etc. The math to convert to whatever you're comfortable with is easy enough.
*Net per truck
*Are you running a paid off truck or do you have a bank note?
*How much you put back into the business or in a business savings account
*What you pay yourself
*Your area of the country to account for cost of living because there is a huge difference in what it costs to live in Maryland or California as opposed to West Virginia or Mississippi.
*What you're going for: some guys just want to be comfortable and some guys want a big spread and to expand their company. These are very different goals with very different needs.
Are there hard numbers in this figure? No. But, it will help us understand the numbers from someone else's situation so we may apply them to our own situation.
Also, here is a graphic that is pretty close to the numbers for my trucks.
I hope that helps the conversation flow better.Ryan423 Thanks this.
