As for taxes, no state taxes, just federal, heck if you live out of the borough (county) there is no property taxes.
That said, you can be dumb like me and play with a log truck and 1000 gross is considered a good day, furnishing a truck and everything that goes along with it. BUT it is fun, and sometimes life is not all about money. lolFlaSwampRat, Oxbow and 88228822 Thank this. -

The best strategy is to know how much you need to bring home each month to pay your bills and save. Then take the cents per mile offered and multiply by 2500 miles per week. Then take 78% of that as an average take home after taxes times 52 weeks divided by 12 months and if it equals more than your bills and savings requirement, your good. If it doesn't equal your bills, why bother taking the job? Maybe you will get more miles per week, but what if you don't? Save yourself the headaches and do your homework.

Keep in mind, he is in BC, stands for bring cash. lol
Depending on what the difference in money is, the difference in costs of everything is different too, but still good money compared to lots of jobs.
There are also more taxes than just payroll taxes in BC if I am not mistaken, a gsu or something, and fuel/gas has more tax, etc, etc. -
This doesn't include the 2% safety bonus they get if they have an accident free year, and every driver i have got their safety bonus again last year. In Canada we also must pay employees 4% holiday pay if they work for an employer a year or more.FlaSwampRat, GhentSaintPeters, Ruthless and 1 other person Thank this.
