    I am none of those things. Have always been the guy that'd stay late, go the extra mile, undo it all and fix it until its right, mop up the other guys spills, spend my own money on a tool or immediate need for the company and not cry that it took 3 weeks for reimbursement. And it never got me anything but more work while the other guys loafed for the same $. Its why self employment is the only cure for me.

    I was in the marines during the war and got stoplossed, meaning my contract exit date got replaced with all zeros, we will let you out someday. Try just quitting that job when youre unsatisfied. Youll wind up in leg irons.

    Fools errand, you didn't get compensated for it on that job, and I am glad you made it going out on your own. A lot of the good hands eventually does.
    If you had not and moved on to a better job a time or two, you would have still had the reputation of being a GOOD hand to have, and that gets around, no one can ever take that away from you, and you would never have any trouble finding a new job if the need arises.
