Does anyone know if intermodal companies have requirements on the trucks age? I am selling my old truck and plan to buy a 99 model Pete, but don’t want to hurt my chances of finding work.
How new of a truck do I need to haul intermodal?

This is a joke right, ha ha.
I'll bite though.
Your truck must be at least 20 years old or older,
A complete pile of junk, duck taped and bungee
Corded together.
With at least 1 fender missing and one side of
The truck a completely different color than the other side.
Have you not looked at these container trucks

Get a mid 90's or early 2000's Freightliner with the mirrors being held by duct tape and bald tires. You'll be good.

Has to be white Volvo and companies want a minimum two pieces of duct tape and 2 zip ties.

I'm just joking dude. I'm not trying to single out individual people. Your truck seems like it's in good shape by your profile pic. You should really see some of these trucks that pull containers though.
