Yep, pretty hard to fuel while legally on line three. Would be interested in how that's possible.
How often do you actually drive 11 hours/day?

Like others said, it depends on what your hauling- I run in California only and can run 12 work 16, and transporting cars I use one day to load 3 cars in SoCal, haul ##### north about 350-400 miles and stop for the night. The whole next day is spent making 6 stops dropping 3 and picking up 3 but only covering between 200 and 400 miles, and there may have been times when I got back to the truck stop to get my 10 before heading back south, where I was glad I run loose leaf logs. I envy the company drivers that can get by with only 8 hrs a day, they have time to get a good spot, take an early shower, and knock out a movie or two before hitting the rack. Not this guy LOL!

Then they get out here, knock over signs, run over cars, drop into ditches in their first 6 weeks behind the wheel. And yet, some of us have been behind the wheel for 3 to 4 decades, 2 to 3 million miles, all over North America, Canada, the Territories, Alaska, some of us have even driven big rigs into Mexico. Makes you want to say, "Want to rub elbows with me? Come talk to me in 5 years. THEN, we can talk Truckin."mje Thanks this. -

Back to the OPs question.
How often you drive 11 hours really depends on who you work for, what their operation is and what they have you doing.
If they have plenty of long freight say 1,200 miles or more and can turn you around fast you might do it a lot, if they run you on a lot of 400 to 500 mile loads you won't do it often.
Trucking is a VERY diverse industry and it all depends on who you work for and what you wind up doing.
I ran from KC to Edmonton and back for about 5 years til we lost that customer and drove over 10 hours at least 5 days a week and sometimes 7 days when we were busy, now with shorter runs its not very often at all.mje Thanks this. -
I was wrong. Got confused with the requirement to include driving and on duty not driving when doing your daily recap. It does count against your "70" but NOT in the "11".
