How often do you grind?

I'll grind when I'm fully loaded. I drive maybe 2 hours a week with more than 15k in the box and it screws with me every time.

I use to grind all the time. It gets to the point you wear all them nubs off the gears to where they are smooth wheels turning each other. I haven't grinded since!

It takes a good 3 years to master. Of course I'm cold now but the only thing that made me grind was someone cutting you off or making you mad. Then you just slam the thing.

 

My Mentor told me, This trans cost 5,000. Don't miss a gear if you don't want to replace it. I have missed maybe 5 times in 30 years.

I drove a cl700 with a 565 Cummins and a mack 18 speed, that thing took a day to get used to...

 

I do it and anyone tells you they never grind is pulling your leg, not making rubber gears anymore.
