so I have been doing it every 12k miles. As I change all my filters every 12k miles. Not oil. I have oil bypass system. So I change my oil when the lab test says it needs it, aroind 80k miles. But I've been thinking about doing it every weekend? I mean it can't hurt it right? I bought one of those dewalt powered grease guns to make the job easier. Thoughts?
How often do you lube?

Mine only get it every 20k but if I was an owner op with one truck I would probably do every other week. So, 5000 to 6000 miles. I don’t see any benefit to more then that.

It’s not going to hurt anything. You’ll just have to watch out for excess grease. I use a old trigger style gun,it makes it easy to feel when a joint is getting full.

Usually once a month, unless I decide to be productive and actually do some driving then I will do it after 3 weeks, Usually only do ~1500 miles a week

My maintenance varies. I try to lube the truck and trailer every month, I try to do u joints every two weeks, oil changes are 12k miles.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
What type of grease do you use and do you use different types for different parts?
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -

Greased the old man's trucks top to bottom every weekend. Driveline mid-week. By the time you factor in a new inter-axle shaft, ABS valve, airbags, yokes, labour and downtime you could easily buy enough grease to last a few years.
