In twelve years I've had one level 2 and one level 3. The Man is out to get me.

    Do you use elogs?

If so, then anytime you pass through a weigh station it beams them to the officers inside. It's all automatic. Most don't even care though unless they pull you in. :biggrin_25526:

If you use paper then they just don't get to see them. :biggrin_25522:

...can't believe that you guys are hiding that one from the OP! :biggrin_25516:

Truthfully it just depends. If you get pulled over they may check you. Anytime you run through a weigh station there's a chance they'll ask you to come in and they'll do it then. Unless you're just drawing attention to yourself I don't think it'll be an issue. It's still not wise to cheat though.

    :D

Whenever I came out Nevada into California I was checked. Only a few other times that I can think of.

Anytime you are stopped, expect to have your logs looked at. LEO will always ask for "license, registration, and log book"

Never so far.but I have had to have two Safe Haven moves that took me well over HOS because I was in the middle of nowhere when customer wouldn't let me park and it was tough to find a spot being night. At least a safe spot.

I average once per year .. But you never know, always be prepared ..and when you are going to risk something, make it an educated risk. Example, you are out of time but want to push a few more hours and scales are usually closed at night. Don't gamble too often though ...

Out of all the years I've been driving, 100% of the time when stopped - they ask for the obvious items - CDL/Truck folder (registration, ect)/medical card and logs. If they take it to their car, they're gonna thoroughly check the last 7 days. However, for the last two years... the leo's whove stopped me randomly or at the scale have just checked the current day and the previous day and say good enough.

So yeah, they check everytime. Just some may not check as thoroughly as others .
