I made a bad typo in the original post and it's too late to edit it. I meant to type NOT having to do a reset in truck stops, Walmart, etc.

It depends on your company and the type of driving you do. I get two resets per week at home on my days off.

as rabid porkchop said, depends on where you are at, when that reset time takes place.

if you want to make some money, you cannot be home daily, unless you work P&D for an LTL company, or a delivery company like furnuture, milk, groceries.

to make the money, that most likely your CDL school burnt into your brains, you gotta work for it.

if you are a brand new driver, or currently in school now, to get the sweet local jobs, you gotta sell yourself like no one else can.

and with some companies going out of business, or VERY experienced drivers looking for local work, if i were a hiring manager, i'd select one of them,. over you.

as they are a proven quality, as i'd not want...quantity.

Some of it depends on if you own the truck. Company drivers only get what their DM allows them.
