Do some research next time. Plenty of good jobs especially if you have endorsements.

I could never do this to a person..make them work all week for $200.
Just another lesson learned in life.

It's a good life lesson to do research on any big move.

That's extreme suffering, Steeldragon. Why are you putting up with that stuff? There are so many truck companies ready and hoping to hire a hard working, reliable driver. And they ALL pay more than $30K/annual for full time work. Just look around, in here, elsewhere, you'll find some good opportunities. Don't quit yet, you haven't seen the good part.

BlairandGretchen said, "zero on check if take 2 weeks off?" Me too. I've had some zero weeks, but that's a direct consequence of me sitting on my behind for more than a full settlement cycle, and I knew it was coming. Did it on purpose. Get out of there, start having fun.

    Research?
I was broke and going to lose my house.
Went to the first company that sent me a bus ticket.
Every company on the planet has a ________ company sucks thread.

Wrong, Steel Dragon, they don't all suck. The one you picked sucks. Pick a better one, use what you learned, go for $70K/annual.

Just thinking, drivers, if this poster doesn't give us a company identity, he's probably trolling us.

    No ####.

I did mid 40's first year with a better than average training company and was home almost every weekend. 3 years in was doing mid 50's. They're out there.

That stepping stone led to a private fleet job where I'll make 73k this year, driving nice, well equipped trucks and never any doubt about being home every weekend.
