You are to report convictions,by law, but you don't have to report warnings or citations until you are convicted. Sometimes, a zealous insurance company will report it for you because a subscription to a paid database shows it all.

Company policy may tell you to report everything because they will find out if they have that insurance company. Drivers I knew were fired for lane change violation warnings after having a conviction for same.

Pending tickets need to be dealt with before applying for another job for the same reason.

must report within '30 days of conviction', according to that post above. 'Conviction' means when you PAID the ticket/agreed you were 'guilty'.:biggrin_2553:

Like I'm gonna do that. hahaha. maybe yes, maybe no. Oh, they're gonna find it with this new computer reporting stuff they got. Wait till day 29 after you paid the ticket and then let the company know, is my best advice. :biggrin_25523:

In '08 I got a speeding ticket and went to court (guilty) the same day 2 days before Thanksgiving in Montana that didn't show up on my Okla. MVR 'til July.

That said I'm pretty sure that you're required to report a ticket to your company within a week or so, according to the green book.

Maybe you are "supposed" to report your ticket to the dmv and company. Ive gotten a couple here and there over the years and the only time Ive "reported" it to the company was when you fill out the yearly review. One was during csa 2010. I guess let your conscious be your guide

In some cases....the insurance company is holding the company hostage about rates.

I've seen good drivers let go because they got unlucky enough to get too many tickets.

Others are denied even an interview because of the number of tickets they have.....even if it's only ONE.

Before I get a lot of the finger pointers and shame on you types butting in here.

Every last one of you is guilty of some kind of infraction or another..........

You just haven't been written a ticket for it YET.

I say you should come clean at the yearly review......IF you don't
"Forget" about that one.........I'm getting forgetful in my old age.:biggrin_2559:

They will find out when you call them right after the nice officer leaves or they will find out on what coincidentally is the last day of your employment. If someone didn't tell them I cant imagine any reason why they would not fire them on the spot for that.
