Schneider a great c ok company with immediate benefits and perks... some of the cheapest health care benefits great retirement plan...Don't #### up like I did and chase rainbows the grass is not always greener on the other side. But enjoy your training and take advantage of the opportunity of working for one of the best companies in the industry be proud of that trust me it's not anything else out there.

You first need to discard the holidays. It has no meaning in this industry.

Second. You need to learn how to wait. Business hours is meaningless in this industry. You will be burned out, grumpy, unsafe and tired etc if you don't cool your jets while waiting.

Learning to wait in this industry isnt waiting 20 minutes at the doctors waiting room oh no. You can potentially be waiting days if necessary in one assigned spot until you're called.

Not just the waiting, but using the dead time to rest and maintain a state of making sure you are fully able to go for a full 11 hours driving at a moment's notice when the waiting is over. Sleeping or resting in a state that allows you to be ready to move instantly without having to go through a whole morning wake up routine.

Everything is in it's own time. It is not always about you. You must embrace your training as a foundation to success in this company if you are provided a good trainer. (If not, speak up and get another.)

Finally but not last. You have a whole life time potentially to deal with trucking. You are in no hurry.

If they still have the deal for the Enforcer kingpin lock at-cost through payroll deduction during orientation, definitely take it. I think I got it for $50 five years ago, and I saw one at the Petro in Joplin for over $200. Of course, they mark it up at the truck stop. Got a pair of Rocky work boots for $20, also. Pretty good deal.
