Thanks, you REALLY have made me feel better about apping with them. Roxie is the lady I spoke to back when I first started comming to this forum looking into everything.

You're the secound employee at WS to be straight forward and give good advice, it seems looking in the truck lists here show me 95% pissed people with 5% positive. The common sense stuff does not elude me, do a good job, be respectfull to customers and employees = good job, however sadly with some trucking companies they will screw ya anyways..

Either way I'm going to keep trying to get a hold of her and find out.

Also my uncle told me Swift paid him good but really limmited how much money he could make, it seems he was just a number...

To be fair you cant come in here and ask which to go with, thats really up to you, but I will give you some advise and hope you take it, Go down to a local truck stop and see if you can talk to a driver from swift, I have two friends who went that way and they are happy just like me. So its all in how you want to be treated.

Hi to everyone. New on here. Just got signed up for CDL school, talked with Watkins Shepard about signing with them and they said great, send in the application as soon as you get going in school.

I took some time to go down to the rest stop and did talk to a Swift driver there. He said he liked the company, but took a lot of garbage from other drivers, and sometimes gets cut off a bit on the road by other truckers. He just keeps the radio off and minds his own business. He said he's makin the money they said he would be making at six months and so he's happy.

I'm planning on doing a couple years to get my time in, and see if I can get a more local route later on. For now I'll be new and learning.
