Excellent idea! Pain in the ###, but better than what I am dealing with now. Thanks.

Done that, but yard dogs not always around. -
from my experience, i know prostars sit higher than other trucks, so it must be another prostar dropping the trailer, volvos have airbag dump i believe standard. and the tire size can affect this too, especially if his other company drivers are not running lopros and he is... or maybe its just someone out to get him. i think i have encountered more dropped too low and high. I would have your bags checked, and do prostars have leveling valves?

Yeah, but I don't think tall rubber vs. lowpro would make that much difference. And these are company trucks, rubber is the same.

Find the arm that controls air/ride pop it off, by hand move it to make truck go up,after your locked in reconnect airride arm an it will lower sup. back like it was, some are easy to get off others are where you must get under truck and are not worth the trouble to get yourself run over by truck trying to do it?
-
Thanks, I will look into that. Pretty bad when a driver (me) would rather live load/unload than doing a d & h.

Are these air ride trailers you are hooking up to? If they are, and the suspension has dropped the air, the nose of the trailer will have raised.
Hooking the hoses and pushing in the red knob will air up the trailer bags, and lower the nose of the trailer, even on a Prostar(sorry, I helped a guy slide his 5th wheel on one 1 time, it was an adventure for me and a learning experience for both of us).
As to blocking the tires, I liked 4x4s unplaned, 2x4 will only raise it an inch and a half -
I never enjoyed D&H's...too many drivers are too selfish and refuse to spend THEIR time getting repairs made to a trailer they are getting ready to drop and too lazy to write it up to be repaired while the trailer is at the yard. Never fails, I hook to a new-to-me trailer and I've got to spend 4-5 hours getting things fixed that nobody bothered to write up. I'd rather just keep the trailer I KNOW is in good shape and live load/unload.

Not air ride trailers, and yes, I would rather keep one trailer all the time, but that ain't happening with this company.
