How to ask for less miles.

    My CDL school was almost free. I had to pay around $400 I think.

    Did you have any contractual agreements tied to the CDL school diploma?

    I used Tuition Assistance. I was still on active duty. I went to school while I was on terminal leave.

    just burn a few more hours loading and unloading and you should cut down the miles

    Good point. I might also add log it 100% legal and honest and the subsequent missed appointments will also work to give you plenty of sit time.

    You don't ask for less miles.

    They won't be happy with you and will make sure you'll never complain about too many miles again.

    Man when I was on the road I was begging for 3200 miles per week. Lot of guys would love that.

    If you want a few less miles you might be able to build in more time for each load.
    Take a 12 hour break instead of 10, for example.

    Where I work we can adjust the pick up and delivery times, to some extent.
    If there is a window for pick up or delivery that you can work with, you can spread things out.
