How to become lowboy owner operator?

    Depending on what you haul, a low boy does not mean it has to be an RGN. There are rear load lowboys also. Lots of those around for hauling dozers, large wheel type trenchers, tractors, etc. That would be a lot cheaper than a RGN and less hassle. But it doesn't give you the versatility of an RGN, and don't ride as low as an RGN so very tall loads out of the question. It all depends on what you are planning to do with a low boy. I have pulled a LOT of low boys that were not RGN hauling a lot of Cat dozers and loaders as well as Speicher and Hydromax 8 ft digging wheel trenchers (oversized loads) and a lot of other stuff from backhoes to pipe and just about anything else that could go on the trailer and be chained down. Grew up with them, as my family was into construction excavation along with farming.
