Make sure you get the new one seated in there right. Or you’ll have one headlite pointing up at the trees or some other direction.

Just run your high beams all the time

It looks like their are two different bulbs for high and low beams.
My question is: are they the same bulb type/number?
Say you are driving along and a headlight goes out. Can you pop the hood and replace the bulb with the one from the high beam?
They may be the same bulb but focused differently in the housing. Might save you some trouble in the future not having to limp with a "black eye" and draw attention.Rideandrepair and farmerjohn64 Thank this. -
Don't touch the halogen bulbs with your fingers when you remove them from the box! That cardboard wrapper is there for a reason.

Unless you suggest performing DiY wiring repairs on a company tractor, I stand by my decision to take mine into the shop. The bulbs I did myself, though...Rideandrepair and farmerjohn64 Thank this.

Pfft. Just throw on a pair of nitrile gloves for handling halogens. Much more dexterous than the cardboard, anywayRideandrepair and farmerjohn64 Thank this.

I always tried to keep spare bulbs in my tractor, both the old fashioned and these new plugs and play types. On that rare occasion, I discovered a one-eyed monster at a terminal I got a mechanic to change it out. I have been generally lucky to have driven for a company that took generally good care of their tractors. Another reason for some do it yourself fixes is it really gets you on the road faster.Rideandrepair, farmerjohn64 and Speed_Drums Thank this.

My truck uses different bulbs for high and low beam.
I keep extra low beams in the truck as well as extra trailer lights. No reason to get a violation for something that takes 5 minutes to swap out.Rideandrepair and farmerjohn64 Thank this. -
Just crank this up and you’ll be fine
Rideandrepair, Speed_Drums and PacoTaco Thank this.
