Some guys volunteer to be meat lockers as soon as they enter prison because 'it's only a matter of time' until Bubba comes to plug them. The old guard was tough as nails and the new guys are like jellyfish on the beach.

But Six, you're a veteran. You couldn't do that if you were a rookie.
I was off road for 7 years, and had to start back over. When I had that conversation, I had only been back 6 months. After my first year, I pissed them off because I didn't want to do their lease purchase, and went out and bought my own truck. So don't give me that smack about how a rookie has to take it in the arse. If you are getting walked on, it is because you are a doormat. You were a doormat BEFORE you started driving, and everyone in the office realize that with all the shoe prints on you that you must be a doormat.
Oh, you're wrong Six! It's coming. The goobermints will require cameras inside.
Like they did elogs? Was that the goobermint or the ATA? As of yet, are all trucks required by the government to have elogs, yes or no? You people are communists. You have no spine, and are trying to convince people with spine to get rid of their spine so that you do not look so spineless. One day, they will outlaw spines and guys will no longer be allowed to have stones in their sacks and be as confused as Bruce Jenner. They will claim that testosterone is a bad thing and makes men aggressive and violent. Even then, some of you would be fearful and complain, "He's got thick skin! It's not fair!"JolliRoger, Lone Bear, icsheeple and 5 others Thank this. -
I hope unknown_substance is only running his mouth and not a trucking company. With company management with his attitude becoming more prevalent, it's no surprise our industry is going to pot. 20 recruits each week to keep 400 trucks full? Maybe he ought to think about the lower cost of retention instead of happily accepting the higher costs of recruitment. Just makes no sense to recruit a guy, run him off, and have to spend money to recruit another. Seems like wasted money flushed down the toilet. And he happily pulls the handle every week. I don't consider my career to be a game. His term "play ball" shows that's exactly how he feels about it.

Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak for me.

How to deal with a driver-facing camera? Gorilla tape.
MACK E-6 Thanks this. -
Make no mistake. As others have said, a forward facing camera will exonerate you. But a driver facing camera is there for NO such beneficent reason. Those are intended to screw you, and WILL be used for exactly that purpose by whichever slip-and-fall lawyer happens to come along.
Furthermore, as I have opined elsewhere on the subject, the reasoning "if you have nothing to hide", if one wants to call that "reasoning", is the most slippery slope in the history of man.
Gee, how about cameras in the bathroom stalls so people can watch while I'm pinching a loaf? After all, "if you have nothing to hide"......Diamondeez, Hammer166, Balakov100 and 2 others Thank this. -
