If I am on a highway and I have a shadow, no problem....I open up the throttle on the v8 and pull away from them for about a half minute and the shadow is gone. If an officer stops me for speeding, I will tell him I had to escape from the crazy driver behind me that was trying to ram my rear end!

In town, I put on my 4 way flashers and let off the gas like I am having car trouble and I move towards the shoulder some, as soon as they see that, they come around me... I just started doing this and it works.

I send my pet chimpanzee out on the skid plate to unhook my pigtail then I slam on the brakes so the tailgating person slams into me causing a following to close ticket to the tailgater

Yes, the number one way to deal with tailgaters is to increase your following distance. Period. Do NOTHING to aggravate the situation. If there is very little traffic I change lanes and let them go through, even slowing to encourage them.

Realize that you may be dealing with someone with a severe medical condition known as ARS (Anal Remora Syndrome). This is a condition in which the sufferer is very uncomfortable with open road ahead of them and an overpowering need to sniff fecal tissue on your anal sphincter. The condition can be so severe they cannot be more than 10 feel from fecal matter without going into withdrawal symptoms.

While driving while impaired from alcohol can be easily detected with a field sobriety test, ARS does not have a scientifically reliable test as of this writing. Compounding the problem is that LEO's are often hired if they demonstrate advanced stages of ARS. Therefore they won't issue fines for fellow sufferers.

I remember back to my first job after highschool. I would sometimes have to go pick up parts or drop off/pick up our shift workers from the airport. We had an old diesel shop pickup truck. Used to just lug it and stomp on it to deal with tailgaters. One guy in a brand new sports car was literally about 4 feet off the bumper. Not for long. Best part was the top was down and everything :biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559::biggrin_2559:
