Hello, i've been doing tons of research, however, i am just wondering how did everyone end up in the oil fields? And what steps did you guys take? I want to work in the oil fields, but i'm not exactly sure how to get started. I am completely new to the trucking industry and don't have a cdl. My plan was to go to a sponsored school (swift, prime, stevens, millis, roehl, etc.) and work for the company for experience, and then apply for jobs in the oil field. What would you guys recommend to do for someone like me? Thank you.
I don't work in the oil fields but from the ads I see for drivers most require 2+ years of experience mostly tanker and need haz-mat.
