How to get work as an owner operator

I cant believe even a Mexican can find a team to drive a beater truck with 3 mill on it . Most teams can have there pick of just about whatever they want.

lol...in my town, 1k a week cash is good pay, he has guys waiting to drive for him...I almost asked to run his truck at Central when I quit the company...He has it on a Tucson to Elpaso 5 day a week LTL run...No bennies, scary truck, i passed eventually...Easy no hassle gig tho

 

When choosing a finance Company...focus solely on terms. You get better Financing terms/better rates, when the language its based solely upon your credit. If, you require the assistance of the Carrier to get finance for a truck than your not interested in the Finance Terms..."any slick will do". (Sample: Arrow truck in Phoenix, has supplied 3 of my friends with trucks...5k down, 1400 a month...Good fleet trucks with 300k on them..just need the letter). Whats missing is the length of note, then decide after adding up those numbers if the final price is what your upto.. To have an opinion is not easy...in other words: How will I prefer my truck constructed then label each part in your trucks construction before you seek out and buy that truck.

 

yes you can but the caveat to that is you have to know who you are going to lease on to many companies you can lease to have requirements on what truck type of truck you can lease on. would do not good to buy a truck and find out it is not in speck with a company

 

Those drivers find locals whom living on the border, don't have the self confidence to leave their area and work for a Major Carrier on their own.. They see the truck owner as their boss whom will be their voice and tell the Carrier the facts of life...home on friday.
