Here's the way it works on the west coast. There are several options. You can just do transportation of the product, the contractor buys the product and you transport it. Or, you can buy the product from the quarry and deliver it and bill the contractor for services. Or, you can "buy" a pile of dirt and sell/transport it to various contractors or sell it to other truck operations. You can sell your services/truck by the hour/load/weight. Or, those brokers. Hourly truck rates are regulated by the PUC in Ca. Aggregates is a very cuthroat business in Ca. If it rains, you stay home.

Probably not what you mean but, i have hauled rock out of a Quarry in Az. the guy blows up part of the Mtn. and loads one rock per trip, these a petty good size. I ran them up to someplace in Wi. where they would cut them up into some type of brick that matched old buildings. Several years ago but paid o k.

Everybodys got their own group that does this depending on where they live. CO is a sanctuary state...so they don't prosecute illegals here. In fact it is illegal to even ask them questions pertaining as such. What a crock that is. My buddy next door owns a Oil field company and he is going under because a Trucking Company called Ramirez Trucking who is ran by and employs a bunch of illegals in POS truck is driving him outta biz. They are bidding their end dumps at $35 an hour. $35 a friggin hour! How can anybody compete with that?

That's like container work in S.Ca. out of Port of Long Beach/L.A. No white folks driving/hauling containers.
