But then no one would want to park beside me. Oh well, I wouldn't have to worry about backing in straight...

only time I have ever heard someone talking through a CB about using 33 or 4 they usually say "33(then for some reason blow into the mic)", I dont understand it.

:biggrin_25511:In theory, it could work, but in reality, not a chance. You would have to organize 100- 150 truckers on short notice, all coming and going at various hours. Some sleep like rip van winkle and wouldn't wake up for a bomb explosion. And if I was the 'Idle Police', I would walk in dressed like a trucker, undercover, and write so many tickets, you boys wouldn't even know what the hello was going on ! :biggrin_25511:

Love the blue typing. What would you drive up in? An 18 wheeler?

Well those that slept so soundly would be SOL. I for one can barely sleep in a truck. I am not kidding when I say I can sleep in the woods with a poncho liner better than I can in a truck. Some of us would keep piano wire in our trucks, and no one would see anything.

If they can sleep soundly in a truck they are surely not SOL as you say. Does anyone else get crusty boogers sleeping in the truck? I hate sharp crusty "I can't idle my truck" boogers. They make me sneeze and are itchy.

I am going to get a job where I drive a truck with one of the loudest, oldest reefers I can find, carrying frozen food. Then I will find you, turn the thing down so it runs all night. I will park next to you.

I sleep soundly in my truck running a reefer on start/stop, and an engine with opti-idle. I have yet to be bothered in California, Arizona, or any other state with any type of idling law.
