Good question..since OSHA is an arm of the Labor Dept. (kind of like the Public Defender is part of the District Attorney..which makes a lot of sense when seeking a fair trial)..OSHA works on Whistleblower cases when termination or discrimination occurs. Also they are the "enforcer" of safety rules and regulations dealing with Government vs. Employer..so looking at it this way...probably not!

Figure if there's no sure money in it for them (fines, etc) they won't lift a finger.

lordy lordy, why you think most companies don't allow pets, it's not because of the so called wear and tear in the truck from them, it's simply because if you have a pet in the truck, you are allowed to idle, yup dot says you sweat or freeze your butt off, but they won't allow your pet to freeze or sweat it;s butt off, in other words, no pet....no idle

I still believe there is a case for a class action lawsuit challenging idle laws as being contrary to workplace safety laws in most states.
Too bad the right to a safe work place isn't in the constitution, or they'd be deemed unconstitutional. -
so what about those so called CARB compliant generators????? CARB meaning sold in all 50 states. and supposedly there is an epa mandate they have to meet also for extended idle times.
legal or not? -
Okay, color me stupid but am I to assume that you can not idle your truck ? What about when you are sleeping ? Summer , winter, do you not need the ac and heater ?
How long can you idle it for ?
I am a local driver so I do not know anything about otr regulations , I go home every day. -
