Place a 3/8" bolt where the go pedal hits the stop just enough to hold it off the stop doesn't have to raise the idle up

A stick may be cheaper, but it might not stick!

I don’t know about your truck but my International LT is set to stop idling if the temperature falls below 70 degrees or so; before it would shut off no matter what and I didn’t have an override switch or anything to prevent it from turning off; after playing around with it a bit I discovered if you rev your rpm’s up to 1500 then it would keep idling as normal unless the previous conditions I stated were met

Should only idle for 30 minutes at that point. Doing that trick with the accelerator depressing device won't change it. I've tried all the normal tricks because the EPU doesn't do worth a flip when its 117 outside.

Have you tried disconecting the temp probe in the mirror. When you both the yellow check eng lights will come and should idle

You need to know what kind of idle system your Freightliner has. Does it have the Detroit Optimize Idle or does it have the battery electric Park Smart or is it reading outside temperature and only idle if above something like 70F.

My company truck has the electric batteries for sleeper a/c when the batteries get low the computers will start the engine to recharge them. My other truck had Optimize Idle that system has thermostat in sleeper to that the engine automatic.

umm that's a good question.i am actually not sure. but my truck is not showing any outside or inside temp, so i guess it's the electric battery. any solutions if I want to keep the AC on while parked? thanks

Try setting the cruise while parked... it may just put the truck in a high idle... that’s how they were at Schneider.
