We actually drive volvos, that have air bags under ur bum. And 3 levels of lumbar.
Also I keep my wallet in my front pocket. Dont wanna get pick pocketed.

I even sleep stopped sleeping on my back. To give my bum a break.

I'm also a skinny little Irishman suffering from "Noassatall Complex" and my tail bone and back of pelvis bones (aka my butt bones) don't have a heap of padding at all that the Good Lord, genetics or lifestyle give me. My Dairy Aire looks like two hamburger buns some grocery clerk put at the bottom of the bag with the flour and sugar on top. Know what I mean? I may only weigh 161 pounds but, (pun intended) that gets rough sometimes because I'm long haul now. Coast to coast with 2K and 3K runs the norm. Fleet seats are rough on such a naturally thin padded bum. Wallet and slick back pockets helped a lot. I adjusted the seat as good as it could get. That helped a little more. I tried all the things suggested here and they didn't work out for various reasons. The padding that helped a skinny guy out most (and I am pain free now) was bath towels of all things. Folded bath towels. I don't know why or how or what possessed me to do it, but I put a couple folded bath towels down as a cushion and they worked better than all the other stuff I tried. For me, a skinny kid, thick cloth worked (and still works) better than all the foam and gel and air and all that. Don't know why; don't care. It works for me though. Might try that.

Not sayin anything about bigger folks, the skinny description is just to let y'all know. Gravity and lack of road maintenance have different effects on different body types. For skinny folks - this worked for me. Might work for bigger folks too. I don't know. Can't hurt to try.

I don't bring my wife because she's a pain in the ### and interferes with my philandering.

Don't ride with the seat all the way to the floor.
And conversely don't fill the air seat all the way to the top. Allowing some cushion for the seat to move helped me a lot, along with taking my wallet out.

If your truck is a few years old and seats match what I've done in the past is swap seats side to side as the right one will be in better shape otherwise I like Sears elite its a pretty comfy big boy seat .. I'm 6'4 and 250 lbs I found them comfy

ROHO AIRHAWK Truck Seat Cushion System

Equagel - The General - Gel Seat Cushion - seat or wheelchair cushion 20Wx18D

The two cushions above are the best that I have ever tried, the only problem with the AirHawyk is that it developed a leak and would not hold air. At the present, I am sitting on the Equagel and it has really helped relieve some pain and other problems that were bothering me.
