my dad taught me to drive in his '65 Mustang.

he's put his beer, (yeah the old days), on the dash and say you spill it we go home.

got to take the road test in my mom's Plymouth Belvedere, push button tranny. lol

Being able to drive a standard manual transmission is definitely a good skill to have, but it’s also becoming increasingly irrelevant. The company I drive for had mostly manual transmission trucks when I started with them six years ago, now it’s mostly automatic transmissions. Practically all new trucks have automatics.

    It isn’t the same.

you can not substitute a video with learning a skill.

A little bit of additional advice, you want to learn on a car that can take some abuse

    now don’t laugh, but I learned on a pre-1935 ford, model a.

You can still find the transmission for them all over the place and still by new parts for it and the rest of the car

When I got my permit there were no endorsements than the recruiter told me that I am required to have my tanker endorsement but I will learn other their. I know I can pass the test but I am not in a position to reschedule for a test at DPS when I can take it through the company
