What's your wb 270in or thereabouts?
Wow that's heavier than I expected. The 1993 mack ch is 18,500 with 216 in wb 60 in mid-roof. 2 side boxes and a box in between the catwalk for chains and binders. 300pc tool set and 16 4 in straps and half dozen 2 in and 300 gal fuel.
My dad just bought a 1999 ch set foward axle tri-axle set up for a low boy with wet kit I'm guessing she's no more than 22 if not lighter. 242wb 48 flat top and mack rears

1999 W900L Aerocab 265” wheelbase with a N14 red top, Eaton 13, 3:55 Eaton rears on tall 24.5 BFG rubber all around.
With the pneumatic on I scale in at less than 30,000 unless I’m over 3/4 tanks, which I try to never be.
Friend of mine with a 2000 model Studio with a 12.7 Detroit scales about 2,500 pounds heavier. It ain’t the motor, it’s the sleeper and wheelbase.stwik, Oldironfan, bryan21384 and 2 others Thank this. -
And fuel is 90+135 and 20 def

My daycab is 16500 with full tanks and me. My trailer adds another 16000 (curtainside FB).
I dream of the day I buy a 48' spread axle that's 11000. That'll put me at 27500 with full tanks.
Then I can run all those 48,000 cheap loads that are on the boards.Oldironfan and Tb0n3 Thank this. -
My question is this....
Why are you looking a 3 axle step if you are trying the get a “low” tare weight?
You would be running as a 6 axle (3 axle tractor and 3 axle trailer) primarily to move non-divisible overweight loads unless you are running in a regional application in a greater than 80k divisible load state. And if that were the case then tare weight would not be an issue to haul 47k.
You need to figure out what you are trying to accomplish- if it is hauling non-divisible overweight loads then spec a truck to do the job and the tare weight will be what it is. You should be a lot more concerned with what specs are in the drive train and suspension.
If you need a low tare weight for divisible loads then you should not be looking at a 3 axle trailer.DozerCowboy, stwik, Boardhauler and 4 others Thank this. -
Leave your wife / girlfriend at home. That should shave off at least 300 lbs.taodnt, Buster Churry, Oldironfan and 3 others Thank this.
