That starter trick doesn't work if your motor locks up...lol. Then what do you do? Call your buddy whos a few miles behind you to come drag you into someone driveway. Or wait for a Subaru...:biggrin_25523:

Those WRX's pack a lot of punch...
IT guy has one....It will throw your ### against the seat like any muscle car.....

This is a good reason why "single-props" should just "park-it" when it snows.....

I was at a truck stop and after fueling my truck would not start and was stuck on the fuel island.

I called breakdown service and a guy comes out with a Chevy pickup truck type of tow truck to give me a pull start.
I said are you sure this thing is strong enuff ? he says oh yea yea.

Well he hooked up the cable pulled me and when I dumped the clutch to start her up it ripped the whole cable right of the boom of that wrecker.

I have had to pull-start my Pete with my Superduty with a load of pipe on the trailer....

I guess the the tow-truck should have been a Ford....

I got pull started by an old Datsun pickup once when my starter went out in a rest area.

I've never had a truck that you had to push in the clutch to start. However the truck I had at FFE has the kyswitch and then another button on the dash you have to push at the same time to start it.

What gear did you use? Always put the transmission in the high side, at least 7th or better to avoid shock to driveline and the vehicle pulling you. 9th on a 10 speed is a good gear most times.
